October - Ultramundum at the MIMOS meeting in Rome
Ultramundum will present "Rome4D: the Colosseum area in realtime 3D along the centuries" at the 10th annual MIMOS (Italian Modeling and Simulation Association) meeting in Rome from 9 to 11 October 2012. “Campus X” Tor Vergata University in Via di Passolombardo 341.
The models and the softwares developed for the realtime 3D exploration of the Colosseum area in time will be shown, with focus on their usage on the TimeMachineVisor.

July - mission in Corea
Ultramundum Foundation will be among the top innovators that the italian government will present to selected corean companies during the italian days in Seoul and Yeosu, during the 2012 international expo.

May - Steps program presentation
The first round of the Steps program has been presented in Turin by Thales Alenia Aerospace and a group of companies and research organizations. Steps (Sistemi e Tecnologie Per l'Esplorazione Spaziale, 'System and technologies for space esxploration'), developing new technologies for the exploration of the Moon and Mars, is a public-founded research project worth 14 million euros. The Ultramundum Foundation's 4DMoon has been used for the simulation of the landing stage descent on the south pole in the Shackleton crater. Thanks to the precise 3D realtime geographical reconstruction of the whole Moon, created with the planet-wide technologies of Ultramundum, visual sensory input to the guidance system has been simulated and tested. The virtual moon from the Foundation has been widely used for presentations and simulations from the very start of the project.

March - Second test of the TimeMachineVisor in Rome
The TimeMachineVisor has been tested by the Colosseum state administration directly in the square of the monument. Points of installation have been decided and some minor adjustments to the Foundations's 3D model of 320AD Rome requested.
During the test a crowd of tourists formed and all of them had the opportunity to experience first-hand this revolutionary tecnology.

October - Ultramundum at the Frankfurt book fair
The Time Machine Visor system will be presented at the annual book fair: it is an amazing instrument: when the user grabs it, he can look around as if he is using a classic binocular, panning and tilting and zooming; the internal high-performance computer creates a tree-dimensional interactive live reconstruction of the very same place in realtime. The result is amazing: the past comes live and the user can really feel he is in the same place, in another time. Different time travels are possible, allowing the interactive exploration of the same area in many points in history . Touristic and trivia informations are shown in the visor in one of the many languages available. The user can, as with a normal camera, take pictures, superimpose people posing in front of the system and send them as postcards. A truly affordable time travel for everybody.

July - Ultramundum beats Google in the 3DMoon 'space race'
The 4DMoon project is now at version 2.0 and has been published as freeware on-line July 15 2009, Google announces publishing Google Moon on july 21. So the Foundation has beaten the powerful american corporation right on the 'cutting edge' tecnology of interactive real-time 3D planets. Without any budget, without any sponsors, Ultramund succeeded in publishing an extremely advanced software to celebrate 40 years from the man landing on the Moon. Other projects with large budgets often do not arrive to a fraction of this result; Ultramundum is again an italian world leader in the sector of 3D interactive real-time environments capable of ranging from planetary scale down to sub-meter details at ground level.

May -The book of Ultramundum is officially presented in the National Library in Rome
The Ultramundum project is inspired by a book with the same name. This study, written by Fulvio Dominici Carnino, current president of the Foundation, is so revolutionary that until today it has been decided not to publish it. The creation, as foreseen in the book, of services like Second life, Facebook and others has made some of the anticipations not so unbelievable anymore. For this reason from today everybody can read what awaits makind in its digital future. The book is published with a CreativeCommons license, the open source for intellectual works. The language the book is written in is italian, but a live english translation has been started in the Ultramundum TV channel.

May -The complete 3D model of the Moon is published
Ultramundum, for the 40th year from the landing of the first man on the Moon (Armstrong, July 21 1969), publishes in open source the interactive 3D model of the whole Moon, with Apollo missions landing sites. The Foundation is faster than Google that is working at the same project with a version of Google Earth but probably is suffering from the same problems of fragmentation of NASA data.

March -The Foundation site is selected by Paramount pictures as official webmaster of StarTrek
Ultramundum is happy to contribute to the success of the latest StarTrek movie, that since from the very start has been an example of the ideals of the Foundation and has depicted, with the 'holodeck', something very close to the products we are working on.

July -The Foundation is invited to PEACH summer school
Our president, Fulvio Dominici Carnino, held a seminar on ICT e cultural heritage at Dubrovnik, Croazia.

February - The Foundation is invited to IMAGINA 2008
Ultramundum has been invited to the prestigious event IMAGINA in Montecarlo, one of the most important moments in Europe for the premiere of important projects on virtual reality, 3D movies and videogames. Our president Fulvio Dominici Carnino, wih VIEW conference, will present the Rome 2.0 project. It is the third year the Foundation is invited: in the 2007 edition PID 2.0 was presented, in the 2006 edition the president presented the 3D Torino GAMES project with huge public success. The Foundation, being the only invited organization from Italy, was representing the entire Country.

October - The Foundation is invited to SMAU 2007
Ultramundum has been invited to the biggest italian ICT trade show, the new Rome 2.0 project will be presented.

July - The Foundation is invited to TRANSISTOR SUMMIT 2007
Ultramundum has been invited to the event TRANSISTOR SUMMIT in Prague, where a cource on the UltraPeg technology has been held to jung talents from the eastern european countries.

October - The Foundation is invited to SMAU 2006
Ultramundum has been invited for the R&D section of the biggest italian ICT trade show.

June - UltraPort is used for financial analysis
TubeGraph, a 3D financial analysis system, is distributed by the Foundation, UltraPort has been used to create a virtual environment where complex economic parameters can be seen side by side to exploit the natural 'bandwidth' of the mind when graphical informations are involved. TubeGraph is a platform where, thanks to the OpenSource approach, everybody can integrate their data and analize them in an innovative fashion.

March - The Foundation is at the Game Developers Conference
The most important international conference on games development held in San Josè, California. The president meets representatives of many important companies as Intel, Google and Dreamworks. The Foundation's booth shows 3D Torino , the original olympic torch and banners from the cities of Torino and Grugliasco.
